WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the 8th Annual Ironbound Walk for the Cure and Health Fair at East Side High School (lobby), 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, on Sunday, October 20, 2019, from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event that will benefit Newark residents, by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of East Side High School (lobby), 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for the 8th Annual Ironbound Walk for the Cure and Health Fair, on Sunday, October 20, 2019, from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of East Side High School (lobby), 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105 on Sunday, October 20, 2019, from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. for the 8th Annual Ironbound Walk for the Cure and Health Fair, sponsored by Councilman Augusto Amador.
