WHEREAS, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R8-c on October 16, 2019 in support of the Annual Children's Halloween Parade and Festivities at Flamboyan Manor (outside/inside), if rain, 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Thursday, October 31, 2019, from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. (Includes Set-up time at 11:30 A.M. and Clean-up/Take-down ending at 8:00 P.M.); and
WHEREAS, in addition to the Annual Children's Halloween Parade and Festivities, the Municipal Council is desirous of holding harmless Temple Rock of My Salvation Church for participation in the Harvest Celebration at Temple Rock of My Salvation Church, 88-90 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Thursday, October 31, 2019, from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event, by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Temple Rock of My Salvation Church, 88-90 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Temple Rock of My Salvation Church, 88-90 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of participation in the Temple Rock of My Salvation Church’s Harvest Celebration on Thursday, October 31, 2019, from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., following participation in the Annual Children's Halloween Parade and Festivities.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Temple Rock of My Salvation Church, 88-90 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution supports the issuance by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, for the benefit of the Temple Rock of My Salvation Church, 88-90 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s participation in the Temple Rock of My Salvation Church’s Harvest Celebration, 88-90 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Thursday, October 31, 2019, from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., following participation in the Annual Children's Halloween Parade and Festivities, sponsored by Councilman Luis A. Quintana.
