WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of Eight Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand, Nine Hundred Thirty-Five Dollars and Zero Cents ($876,935.00) for the HRSA FY 2020 CARES Supplemental Funding Grant and no adequate provision has been made in the 2020 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose, and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the same; and
WHEREAS, by the award letter dated April 3, 2020, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded the City of Newark the HRSA FY 2020 CARES Supplemental Funding Grant in the amount of $876,935.00.
