WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City's Department of Engineering, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is deleted as a bus stop:
DELETED BUS STOP:
1. In the South Ward, along Maple Avenue, northbound on the easterly side thereof at:
Along Maple Avenue, northbound on the easterly side thereof, at Goldsmith Avenue (nearside), beginning at the southerly curb line of Goldsmith Avenue and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom. (South Ward)
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate, relocate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the South Ward, the following described bus stop location be hereby deleted:
Along Maple Avenue, northbound on the easterly side, at Goldsmith Avenue (nearside), beginning at the southerly curb line of Goldsmith Avenue and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom. (South Ward)
2. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
3. There will be no amendment to this resolution without the approval of the Municipal Council.
4. Upon approval, the Director of the Department of Engineering will forward a copy of this resolution to the Office of the City Clerk to notify them of the Local Government's approval for ...
