WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-8, as amended provides that the Municipal Budget shall be read in full at the public hearing, or that it may be read by its title, only if:
1. At least one (1) week prior to the date of the hearing a complete copy of the 2020 Introduced Budget:
a. Was made available for public inspection
b. Was made available to each person requesting the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The conditions of N.J.S.A. 40A:4-8, as amended set forth in subsections 1(a) and 1(b) have been met.
2. The City of Newark 2020 Municipal Budget shall be read by title only at the August 5, 2020 public hearing.
STATEMENT
It is hereby declared by the Newark Municipal Council that the conditions of N.J.S.A. 40A:4-8, as amended set forth in subsections 1(a) and 1(b), have been met and therefore the 2020 Municipal Budget shall be read by the title only.
