WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Newark desires to nominate the Honorable Masiel Valentin as Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Newark; and
WHEREAS, the Honorable Masiel Valentin is qualified in all respects to hold the position of Municipal Court Judge of the Municipal Court of Newark; and
WHEREAS, the Members of the Newark Municipal Council desire to confirm the nomination made by the Mayor and designate the Honorable Masiel Valentin as Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Newark.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY THAT:
1. The Honorable Masiel Valentin is hereby designated Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Newark commencing upon adoption of this resolution.
2. The annual salary for this position shall be in accordance with the Ordinance setting compensation for Municipal Court Judges of the Municipal Court of the City of Newark.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby designates Masiel Valentin as Judge of the Municipal Court of the City of Newark for a three (3) year term to commence upon Municipal Council confirmation.
