WHEREAS, on or about March 2022, Eddie Osborne, Council Member-At-Large, experienced a serious illness; and
WHEREAS, on or about March 25, 2021, Eddie Osborne, Council Member-At-Large caused a memorandum to be delivered to the City Clerk, advising of his illness and that he is currently undergoing care; and
WHEREAS, in compliance with N.J.S.A. 40A:16-3g, Eddie Osborne, Council Member-At-Large, has provided the Governing Body with proper notification within the timeframe permitted of his inability to attend and participate in any meetings and/or events of the Governing Body, as a result of his illness and continued medical care, which constitutes a legitimate illness.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNCIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Governing Body by a majority of its members, hereby excuses Eddie Osborne, Council Member-At-Large from attending and participating in any meetings and/or events of the Governing Body due to legitimate illness, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:16-3g, from March 25, 2022 until the end of his convalescence and rehabilitation.
2. This Resolution is hereby ratified to the date of the memorandum, March 25, 2022.
3. A copy of this Resolution and Memorandum shall be filed with the Office of the City Clerk.
