Additional Information: The Constable Bond received was more than thirty (30) days late due to the misinformation given to the appointee regarding the amount of the Constable Bond which previously was $1,000.00 for three (3) years, but in July of 2020, the amount was amended to $5,000.00. The appointee had the original bond update to reflect the proper amount.

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-120, Oliver Richard Mayson, of Newark, New Jersey 07107, was appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R8-a, adopted at the September 1, 2021, Regular Municipal Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Oliver Richard Mayson, of Newark, New Jersey 07107, must give a bond, in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and sufficiency by the Corporation Counsel and Municipal Council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-121, a Constable must qualify within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, and shall hold office for a term of three (3) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
