WHEREAS, Ordinance 6PSF-f adopted on May 20, 2015, authorizes the designation of an intersection, etc. for honorary and ceremonial purposes; and
WHEREAS, Louis Lee Goolsby, Sr., was a longtime resident of Newark; and
WHEREAS, Louis Lee Goolsby, Sr. unabashed civic pride and commitment to the betterment of Newark endeared him to all who knew him within the Newark community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby authorize the honorary and ceremonial renaming of the intersection of Aldine Street and Hansbury Avenue as “Louis Lee Goolsby, Sr. Lane”.
2. The official name of the said streets shall remain Aldine Street and Hansbury Avenue in their entirety.

This Resolution authorizes the naming of the intersection of Aldine Street and Hansbury Avenue as “Louis Lee Goolsby, Sr. Lane”, for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
