WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Central Ward Summer Fun Market to be held at the CityPlex 12 Newark (Parking Lot), 360-394 Springfield Avenue, Newark New Jersey 07103, on Saturdays at 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., on the following dates: June 11, 2022, June 25, 2022, July 9, 2022, July 23, 2022, August 6, 2022, August 20, 2022, September 10, 2022 and September 24, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the CityPlex 12 Newark (Parking Lot), 360-394 Springfield Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07103.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the CityPlex 12 Newark, 360-394 Springfield Avenue, New Jersey 07103, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of CityPlex 12 Newark (Parking Lot) for the Central Ward Summer Fun Market, to be held on Saturdays, from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., on the following dates: June 11, 2022, June 25, 2022, July 9, 2022, July 23, 2022, August 6, 2022, August 20, 2022, September 10, 2022 and September 24, 2022.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to CityPlex 12 Newark, 360-394 Springfield Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07103, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the CityPlex 12 Newark, 360-394 Springfield Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07103, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the CityPlex 12 Newark (Parking Lot), for the Central Ward Summer Fun Market, to be held on Saturdays from 9:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., on the following dates: June 11, 2022, June 25, 2022, July 9, 2022, July 23, 2022, August 6, 2022, August 20, 2022, September 10, 2022 and September 24, 2022, sponsored by Vice President, LaMonica R. McIver.
