The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fees ($50.00) for street closure will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide wholesome family entertainment and education that allows residents the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances and establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, Homestead Park Block Party provides the residents of the City of Newark the perfect opportunity to collaborate with various support groups and organizations, families and friends; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of Homestead Park Block Party, to be held at Homestead Park between Hawthorne Avenue and Clinton Avenue, on Sunday, August 21, 2022 (Rain Date: Saturday, August 27, 2022) from the hours of 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Homestead Park Block Party, to be held at Homestead Park between Hawthorne Avenue and Clinton Avenue (South Ward), on Sunday, August 21, 2022 (Rain Date: Saturday, August 27, 2022), from the hours of 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M.
