WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide wholesome family entertainment and education that allows residents the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances and establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, the Central Ward 280 West Block Party event provides the City of Newark residents the perfect opportunity for the residents and children of the community to socialize, play games and receive school supplies; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the Central Ward 280 West Block Party event, will be held at the cross streets of Orange Street and 7th Avenue from 12:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M., on Sunday, September 4, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Central Ward 280 West Block Party event, will be held at the cross streets of Orange Street and 7th Avenue from 12:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M., on Sunday, September 4, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M.
2. The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fee of Fifty Dollars and Zero Cent...
