WHEREAS, Resolution 7R1-c adopted on March 16, 2022, by the Municipal Council authorized Stageline Mobile Stage, 700 Marsolais Street, L’Assomption, Quebec, Canada J5W2G9, to provide a Mobile Stage at an amount not to exceed One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($140,000.00) for a period not to exceed twenty-four (24) consecutive months pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing mailed the contracts for signature to Stageline Mobile Stage, 700 Marsolais Street, L’Assomption, Quebec, Canada J5W2G9, to execute the contract and provide accompanying mandatory documents required at execution; and
WHEREAS, Stageline Mobile Stage notified the Division of Central Purchasing stating that they could not accept the contract at the price stated in their bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration, Division of Central Purchasing wishes to rescind Resolution 7R1-c adopted on March 16, 2022 to contract with Stageline Mobile Stage, 700 Marsolais Street, L’Assomption, Quebec, Canada J5W2G9 to provide a Mobile Stage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. Resolution 7R1-c adopted on March 16, 2022 by the Municipal Council awarding a contract to Stageline Mobile Stage, 700 Marsolais Street L’Assomption, Quebec, Canada J5W2G9, to provide a Mobile Stage at an amount not to exceed One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($140,000.00) for a period not to exceed twenty-four (24) consecutive months pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15 is hereby rescinded and null and void.
STATEMENT
This resolution rescinds Resolution 7R1-c adopted on March 16, 2022 for the award of a contract to Stageline Mobile Stage, 700 Marsolais Street L’Assomption, Quebec, Canada J5W2G9, to provide a Mobile Stage for the Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, at an amount not to exceed One Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($140,000.00) for a period not to exceed twenty-four (24) consecutive months pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-15.
