The Trunk-O-Treat and Resource Fair hosted by the South Ward Promise Neighborhood will be held on Jeliff Avenue at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Jelliff Avenue (South Ward).
The City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fees ($50.00) for street closure will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide wholesome family entertainment and education that allows residents the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances and establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, the Trunk-O-Treat and Resource Fair, hosted by the South Ward Promise Neighborhood event provides the City of Newark residents the perfect opportunity to collaborate with various support groups, organizations, families and friends of their community; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the, Trunk-O-Treat and Resource Fair, hosted by the South Ward Promise Neighborhood to be held on Jeliff Avenue at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Jelliff Avenue, on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Trunk-O-Treat and Resource Fair, hosted by the South Ward Promise Neighborhood to be held on Jeliff Avenue at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Jelliff Avenue, on Monday, October 31, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
2. The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fee of Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($50.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by event organizers or costs above service charges described in R.O. 5:10-1 et seq.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports and declares co-sponsorship by the Municipal Council of the Trunk-O-Treat and Resource Fair, hosted by the South Ward Promise Neighborhood, waiving the City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fee of ($50.00), to be held on Jeliff Avenue at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Jelliff Avenue, Monday, October 31, 2022, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., sponsored by Council Member, Patrick O. Council.
