WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Youth Step USA Regional Youth Step Competition at George Washington Carver Elementary School (Auditorium), 333 Clinton Place, Newark, New Jersey 07112, on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event that will benefit Newark residents, by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of George Washington Carver Elementary School (Auditorium), 333 Clinton Place, Newark, New Jersey 07112, for the Youth Step USA Regional Youth Step Competition, on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.
2. The Acting City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of George Washington Carver Elementary School (Auditorium), 333 Clinton Place, Newark, New Jersey 07112 on Saturday, February 18, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M for the Youth Step USA Regional Youth Step Competition, sponsored by Councilman Patrick O. Council.
