WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Mass Service Commemorating the 50th Golden Anniversary of Roberto Clemente, at the Basilica Cathedral of the Sacred Heart and assisting its attendees with parking to be located at Barringer High School’s Parking Lot, 90 Parker Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Saturday December 31, 2022, from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its’ support for this wholesome event that will benefit Newark residents, by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark, Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark, Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Barringer High School, Parking Lot, 90 Parker Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the commemorating of the 50th Anniversary of Roberto Clemente Mass at the Basilica Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
2. The Acting City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Barringer High School, Parking Lot, 90 Parker Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the 50th Anniversary of Roberto Clemente Mass at the Basilica Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, to be held on Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M., sponsored by Council Member, Luis A. Quintana.
