WHEREAS, the Municipal Council desires to support the Annual Newark Three Kings Children’s Celebration at the Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, on Friday, January 6, 2023 (Rain/Snow Date: Thursday, January 12, 2023), from 3:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. (Includes Set-up at 10:00 A.M. and Clean-up/Breakdown ending at 8:00 P.M); and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its’ support for this wholesome event that will benefit Newark residents, by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark, Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Essex County College Gymnasium, 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark, Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for the Annual Newark Three Kings Children’s Celebration on Friday, January 6, 2023 (Rain/Snow Date: Thursday, January 12, 2023), from 3:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. (Includes Set-up at 10:00 A.M. and Clean-up/Breakdown ending at 8:00 P.M.).
2. The Acting City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the New Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for the Annual Newark Three Kings Children’s Celebration, to be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 (Rain/Snow Date: Thursday, January 12, 2023), 3:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M.
