WHEREAS, on August 3, 2022, the Municipal Council adopted resolution 7R1-m authorizing the use of State Contract #T2007 Sport Utility Vehicles to purchase two (2) 2022 or newer Ford Explorer SUV Limited Hybrids for the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities; and
WHEREAS, due to the volatility of the market, the 2022 or newer Ford Explorer SUV Limited Hybrids were no longer available upon Municipal Council approval of the purchase; and
WHEREAS, Hertrich Fleet Services has two (2) 2022 or newer Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4WD available for purchase through State Contract #T2007 Sport Utility Vehicles, Gasoline/Hybrid/Electric; and
WHEREAS, the purchase of goods/services by local contracting units are authorized by Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12; and
