WHEREAS, the Lincoln Park Neighborhood in the City of Newark was designated a neighborhood Preservation Program District and awarded a grant in 2021 from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Neighborhood Preservation Program (the "NPP"); and

WHEREAS, the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District has taken public input from a community Stakeholder Committee comprised of Lincoln Park residents, the business community, and property owners, on their desired objectives, and combined them with recommendations to provide a 2023 Implementation Plan related to the grant; and

WHEREAS, the City of Newark wishes to continue to receive technical assistance and funding through the NPP in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, and continue their partnership in this program administered by the Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District; and

WHEREAS, Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District has submitted an NPP application for grant funding in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($125,000.00) and the City of Newark will contribute a municipal match of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($25,000.00) in 2023.
