The Superior Officers' Association (SOA), labor agreement, the Collective Bargaining Agreement was previously adopted by Resolution 7R1-j dated December 7, 2016.

WHEREAS, the Superior Officers' Association (SOA) has been certified by the Public Employment Relations Commission as the majority representative for certain Superior Police Officers of the City of Newark, New Jersey, as that term is defined in the New Jersey Employer-Employee Relations Act, N.J.S.A. 34:13A-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark (the "City") has negotiated in good faith with said majority representative over terms and conditions of employment for the period covering January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2023; and
WHEREAS, a result of the collective bargaining negotiations, the terms and conditions of employment for the aforementioned period have been imposed upon the parties and are incorporated into the Successor Agreement. The Successor Agreement shall be binding upon all employees in the unit represented by said majority representative, whether or not they are members of such representatives, as provided in N.J.S.A. 34:13A-5.3.
