WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Health and Community Wellness ("DHCW") has expended and continues to expend funds to provide Local Health Department ("LHD") related services during the ongoing COVID-19 Public Health Emergency and pandemic; and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Association of County and City Health Officials ("NJACCHO") has made funds available for LHD to build local public health infrastructure capacity to better prepare and respond to emerging infectious diseases; and
WHEREAS, NJACCHO agrees to reimburse DHCW retroactively, from October 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, for LHD related expenses and continue such reimbursement until the project period termination of June 30, 2024, in the amount of Three Million Eight Hundred Sixty-Three Thousand Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($3,863,002.00) is reached; and
