CHARLES STREET BETWEEN KOSSUTH STREET AND KOMORN STREET (EAST WARD).

WHEREAS, the residents of St. Charles Street submitted a petition for Permit Parking on the west side of St. Charles Street between Kossuth Street and Kormon Street, in the East Ward. The item was voted and approved at the January 7, 2015 Regular Meeting; and

WHEREAS, East Ward Councilman, Michael J. Silva has requested the "Parking by Permit Only" legislation be rescinded and the item placed on the April 5, 2023 Regular Meeting Agenda.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPA COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

Section 1. That Section 23:5-14e, Parking by Permit Only in Designated Residential Areas, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, be amended and supplemented by rescinding thereto the following:

St. Charles Street, West side, between Kossuth Street and Kormon Street
(Hours: 24 hours/Days: Monday-Sunday)

Section 2. Regulatory signs shall be erected and maintained by the City ofd Newark.

Section 3. Any ordinance or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

Section 5. This Ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
