The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fees ($500.00) for street closure and festival will be waived.

WHEREAS, the City of Newark is desirous of providing meaningful activities for residents exposing them to various diverse community and wholesome family activities; and
WHEREAS, the "Annual Mother's Day Street Festival", provides the community with the perfect opportunity to collaborate with various support groups, families and friends of their community in appreciation of motherhood; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the "Annual Mother's Day Street Festival", will be held on Bloomfield Avenue between 1st Avenue and North 6th Street, on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the "Annual Mother's Day Street Festival" will be held on Bloomfield Avenue between 1st Avenue and North 6th Street, on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
2. The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fees of Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($500.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by event organizers or costs above servic...
