WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of Fifty-Three Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-Three Dollars and Zero Cents ($53,843.00) for the Immunization Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2023 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by the Notice of Award dated March 1, 2023, the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), Vaccine Preventable Disease Program has made additional funds available in the amount of Fifty-Three Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-Three Dollars and Zero Cents ($53,843.00) for the Immunization Program. The aforementioned program will provide funds for the provision of health care and supportive services to the residents of the City of Newark; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides that the Governing Body, by a two-thirds vote, may make temporary emergency appropriations for any purpose for which appropriations may lawfully be made for the period between the beginning of the current fiscal year and the ...
