The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fee ($500.00) for street closure will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide wholesome family entertainment and education that allows residents the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances an establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, Cutler Street Summer Fair provides the City of Newark the perfect opportunity to collaborate with various support groups and organizations, families and friends that have resided in the community; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the Cutler Street Summer Fair, which will be held on Cutler Street between Park Avenue and Victoria Avenue, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from the hours of 12:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Cutler Street Summer Fair, to be held on Cutler Street between Park Avenue and Victoria Avenue, on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 12:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
2. The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fee ($500.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by event organizers or costs above service charges described in R.O. 5:10-1 et seq.
