The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fee ($50.00) for street closure will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide wholesome family entertainment and education that allows residents the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances and establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, Peshine Avenue School Alumni Block Party provides the City of Newark the perfect opportunity to collaborate with various support groups and organizations, families and friends that have attended Peshine Avenue School and some of their children that may be attending the school today; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the Peshine Avenue School Alumni Block Party, to be held on Peshine Avenue between Nye Avenue and Custer Avenue, on Saturday, August 12, 2023 (Rain Date: Sunday, August 13, 2023), from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Peshine Avenue School Alumni Block Party, to be held on Peshine Avenue between Nye Avenue and Custer Avenue, on Saturday, August 12, 2023 (Rain Date, Sunday, August 13, 2023), from 1:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
