WHEREAS, Resolution 7R1-s adopted on July 13, 2022, by the Municipal Council authorized the Purchasing Agent, QPA, to enter into and execute a contract with Dhall Hospitality Group, LLC., 24 Oak Drive, Syosset, New York 11791 ("Contractor") to provide Healthy Nutritional Meals to Newark Senior Citizens in the amount of Four Hundred Twenty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($420,000.00) for a period not to exceed twenty-four (24) consecutive months pursuant to .N.J.S.J.40A 11-15; and
WHEREAS, the Healthy Nutritional Meals to Newark Senior Citizens ("program"), as currently formulated, has failed to meet the City's anticipated needs; and
