WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-87 provides that the Director of the Division Local Government Services ("Director") may approve the insertion of any Special Item of Revenue in the budget of any local unit when such item shall have been made available by law and the amount thereof shall not have been determined at the time of the adoption of the budget; and
WHEREAS, the Director may approve the insertion of an appropriation item of equal amount for the purpose of carrying out the purposes of the law making such item of revenue available for expenditure; and
WHEREAS, Acenda Inc, has made available funds in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($123,000.00), to provide support for the Community Health Workers in response to Covid 19; and
WHEREAS, by virtue of a Memorandum of Understanding executed on or about September 19, 2024 by and between Acenda Inc. and the City of Newark ("City"), the City is to receive a grant in the amount of One Hundred Twenty-Three Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($123,000.00) for the continued provision of health care servi...
