WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of One Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand Forty-Nine Dollars and Zero Cents ($168,049.00), for the Sustaining Public Health Infrastructure Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2025 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and

WHEREAS, by the Notice of Award dated June 26, 2024, the New Jersey Association of County and City Health Officials (NJACCHO), awarded the City of Newark funds in the amount of One Hundred Sixty-Eight Thousand Forty-Nine Dollars and Zero Cents ($168,049.00). The aforementioned program will provide funds for the provision of health care and supportive services to the residents of the City of Newark; and
