WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Cookout with the Council, at Dwight Plaza, 139 Seventh Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, to be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 7:30 PM; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Dwight Plaza, 139 Seventh Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Dwight Plaza, 139 Seventh Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, and its agents, employees and representatives for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Dwight Plaza, 139 Seventh Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for a Cookout with the Council, to be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 3:00 PM until 7:30 PM.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Dwight Plaza, 139 Seventh Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.
