WHEREAS, on July 14, 2026, a Pre-Meeting of the Municipal Council was convened in accordance with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, during said Pre-Meeting the Newark Municipal Council desired to discuss under closed session attorney-client privileged matters regarding Settlements and Personnel matters.
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b)(7) authorizes the exclusion of the public from discussions concerning said matters; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council by this Resolution adopted at said Pre-Meeting on July 14, 2026, commencing at 12:34 P.M. and ending at 1:28 P.M. voted to exclude the public from said discussion.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The part of the Pre-Meeting of the Newark Municipal Council containing the discussion on such, session attorney-client privileged matters is closed to the members of the public under the provisions of N.J.S.A. 10:4-12(b)(7).
