AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE XXIII, TRAFFIC, CHAPTER 5, PARKING, STOPPING, AND STANDING, GENERALLY, SECTION 23:5-7, PARKING OR STANDING PROHIBITED IN CERTAIN AREAS AT CERTAIN TIMES FOR STREET CLEANING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY ADDING CARMEN COURT TO THE LIST (EAST WARD).

WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering wishes to add Carmen Court to the list of streets where Parking or Standing is prohibited in certain areas at certain times for street cleaning (East Ward).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
SECTION 1. That Section 23:5-7, Parking or Standing Prohibited in Certain Areas at Certain Times for Street Cleaning, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:
Street to be Swept Wednesday Afternoons 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Carmen Court, northwest side from Freeman Street to its terminus
Streets to be Swept Thursday Mornings 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
Carmen Court, southeast side from Freeman Street to its terminus
SECTION 2. Any existing ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
SECTION 5. Codification. This Ordinance shall be a part of the Code of the City of Newark as though codified and fully set forth therein. The City Clerk shall have this Ordinance codified and incorporated in the official copies of the Code. The City Clerk and the Corporation Counsel are authorized and directed to change any Chapter, Article and/or Section number of the Code...
