AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE XXIII, TRAFFIC, CHAPTER 5, PARKING, STOPPING, AND STANDING, GENERALLY, SECTION 23:5-7, PARKING OR STANDING PROHIBITED IN CERTAIN AREAS AT CERTAIN TIMES FOR STREET CLEANING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY AMENDING THE STREET CLEANING DAYS ON 14TH AVENUE BETWEEN JONES STREET AND SOUTH 20TH STREET (CENTRAL WARD AND WEST WARD).

WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering wishes to amend the street cleaning days on 14th Avenue between Jones Street and South 20th Street (Central Ward, West Ward).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
SECTION 1. That Section 23:5-7, Parking or Standing Prohibited in Certain Areas at Certain Times for Street Cleaning, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:
Streets to be Swept Tuesday Afternoons 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
14th Avenue, north side from Jones Street to South 20th Street
Streets to be Swept Monday Afternoons 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
14th Avenue, south side from Jones Street to South 20th Street
SECTION 2. Any existing ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
SECTION 5. Codification. This Ordinance shall be a part of the Code of the City of Newark as though codified and fully set forth therein. The City Clerk shall have this Ordinance codified and incorporated in the official copies of the Code.
