WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:44-9, et seq., the "Municipal Ward Law" the Newark Ward Commission, comprised of the four Commissioners of the Essex County Board of Elections and the City Clerk of the City of Newark engaged in a process of adjusting ward boundaries of the City of Newark's wards; and
WHEREAS, on November 4, 2011, at the final meeting of the Newark Ward Commission, the Commission voted to authorize the payment of fees to vendors, Commissioners and Secretary as permitted by N.J.S.A. 40:44-12; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Ward Commission has completed its work as required by N.J.S.A. 40:44-9 et seq.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
The City Clerk is hereby authorized to settle all costs and expenditures relative to the actions and work of the 2011 and 2012 Newark Ward Commission

This resolution authorizes payment of all costs and expenditures associated with the City of Newark's 2011 and 2012 re-warding of election districts.
