WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting an event, the Breast Cancer Basketball Classic at Newark Vocational High School Gymnasium, 301 West Kinney Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103, on Saturday, October 13, 2012, between 11:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a hold harmless and indemnification agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07012.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of and agrees to a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Newark Vocational High School Gymnasium, 301 West Kinney Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103, for the Breast Cancer Basketball Classic on Saturday, October 13, 2012, between 11:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
