Addition: Along Elizabeth Avenue, northbound on the easterly side at Stanton Street, nearside location, beginning at the southerly curb line of Stanton Street and extending 180’ southerly therefrom.

WHEREAS, at the request of New Jersey Transit in order to reduce bus queues into the intersection, the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals, agrees with the relocation of the bus stop, and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is relocated as a bus stop:
DELETED BUS STOP:
1. In the South Ward, along Elizabeth Avenue, northbound on the easterly side at:
East Bigelow Street, far side
Beginning at the northerly curb line of East Bigelow Street and extending 100’ northerly therefrom.
ADDED BUS STOP:
2. In the South Ward, along Elizabeth Avenue, northbound on the easterly side at:
Stanton Street, nearside
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Stanton Street and extending 180’ southerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the South Ward, the following described location be hereby deleted:
Along Elizabeth Avenue, northbound on the easterly side, at East Bigelow Street far side, beginning at the northerly curb line of East Bigelow Street and extending 100’ northerly therefrom.
