WHEREAS, the Essex County Executive’s Office (Project Applicant), the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office (Implementing Agency), the Newark Police Department (NPD), and the Essex County Family Justice Center, Inc (a Not-For-Profit Agency Serving Domestic Violence Victims) have come together to collaborate, enter into a Memorandum of Understanding and make an application to the United States Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) for the FFY 2011 Grants to Encourage Arrest Policies and Enforcement Protection Orders Program (A copy of the Memorandum of Understanding is a part of the Grant Application attached hereto); and
WHEREAS, the partners listed above have agreed to enter into a collaborative agreement which the Essex County Executive’s Office will be the lead agency and the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office will serve as the Implementing Agency and the named applicant and the other agencies will be partners ...
