WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R1-a, adopted on March 16, 2011, the Municipal Council of the City of Newark authorized the Mayor and the Business Administrator to enter into an agreement to redistribute unexpended ESG grant funds in the amount of $301,539.42 from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) program; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R1-H, adopted December 21, 2011, the Municipal Council of the City of Newark authorized the Mayor and the Business Administrator to enter into an Agreement with YMWCA of Newark & Vicinity, 600 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey, 07102, for the provision of homeless prevention and renovation services for the period commencing on January 1, 2011 and terminating on December 31, 2011, for an amount not to exceed $49,230.83 and to be paid out by reprogrammed ESG funds; and
