WHEREAS, the Department of Child and Family Well-Being provides childhood lead poisoning prevention services for children six (6) months through six (6) years of age under the Childhood Lead Poison Prevention Program; and

WHEREAS, the New Jersey, Department of Health and Senior Services has made grant funds available for the provision of such services through the Childhood Lead Poison Prevention Program; and

WHEREAS, On June 9, 2012, on behalf of the City of Newark, the Director of the Department of Child and Family Well-Being submitted an application to the State of New Jersey, Department of Health and Senior Services, P. O. Box 364, Trenton, New Jersey 08525, requesting grant funding in the amount of four hundred eighty one thousand four hundred ninety three dollars and no cents ($481,493.00) for the Childhood Lead Poison Prevention Program, to provide lead poison prevention, community outreach and case manage...
