WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering is in need of professional engineering/architectural services for the Design and Preparation of Bid Documents and Construction Management Services for the 110 William Street Dental Office Project: and
WHEREAS, the contracted services to be provided must be performed by engineers/architects licensed by the State of New Jersey, which are professional services and are exempt from the public bidding requirements of the Local Public Contracts Law, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5 (1)(a)(i); and
WHEREAS, on June 18, 2012, the Department of Engineering, City of Newark, advertised for responses to a Request for Proposals for Contract #07-2012PS, “Design and Preparation of Bid Documents and Construction Management Services for 110 William Street Dental Office, Newark, New Jersey 07102”, pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Laws, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, on July 17, 2012, the advertised, scheduled date for the public opening of the cost proposals, eleven (11) proposals were received; and
