WHEREAS, Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey-College of Nursing, hereinafter referred to as "University", offers Nursing Education Programs to develop specific educational objectives for student experiences as well as in joint planning and evaluation of these experiences; and
WHEREAS, the University shall provide the academic preparation of the students through classroom instruction and laboratory practice; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark desires to facilitate a nursing education program by providing clinical experience, including but not limited to medical care services, pediatric and immunization clinical services; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark desires to enter into a Nursing Education Affiliation Agreement, with the University for the period of August 1, 2012 through July 31, 2014, with an option to renew annually, subject to Municipal Council approval.
