WHEREAS, on July 22, 2014, the City of Newark, through its Purchasing Director, advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide, Fire Truck Parts, Genuine Apparatus (Various) AM LaFrance, Ferrara, E-One & Hale, to the Department Engineering, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed seven (7) bid proposal packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on August 7, 2014, two (2) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Manager of the Division of Motors, Engineering Department recommends that a line item award be made to the responsive and responsible bidders, Absolute Fire Protection Company, Inc., and Campbell Supply Co., LLC, based on highest discount off; and
