WHEREAS, on February 3, 2016, the Municipal Council of the City of Newark did, by Resolution 7R8-a (AS) 020316 (a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof) authorized and ratified the actions taken by the Mayor and/or his designee, to submit an application to the United States Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office for Victims of Crime, for funding in the amount of $1,000,000.00 for the Male Survivors of Violence Project (hereinafter referred to as the "Grant Application"); and
WHEREAS, as a result of the Grant Application, the City of Newark was awarded the grant described above in the amount of $1,000,000.00; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 7R8-a (AS) February 3, 2016, furthermore accepted the above described grant award in the amount of $1,000,000.00; and
