WHEREAS, Ronnie Eugene Kellam, 134 North 13th Street, 1st Floor, Newark, New Jersey 07107, was appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R9-a adopted at the March 2, 2016, Regular Municipal Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Ronnie Eugene Kellam, of 134 North 13th Street, 1st Floor, Newark, New Jersey 07107, must provide a bond within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Corporation Counsel; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council wishes to amend the date of appointment, in part due to the overdue receipt of the Bond and approve the form, amount and sufficiency of the Constable Bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The date of the Constable appointment of Ronnie Eugene Kellam, of 134 North 13th Street, 1st Floor, Newark, New Jersey 07107, is amended from March 2, 2016 to an appointment date of April 18, 2016 for a term of three (3) years.
2. The Resolution 7R9-a, adopted on March 2, 2016, Regular Municipal Council Meeting is hereby amended accordingly.
3. The Constable Bond in the amount of $1,000.00, issued to Ronnie Eugene Kellam, of 134 North 13th Street, 1st Floor, Newark, New Jersey 07107, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This resolution amends the Constable appointment date of Ronnie Eugene Kellam, from March 2, 2016 to April 18, 2016 for a term of three (3) years from April 18, 2016 through the expiration of the Constable Bond, and approves the form and amount of the Constable Bond.
