WHEREAS, on September 20, 2016, the City Of Newark through its Supervising Procurement Specialist, advertised to solicit bids for contractors to provide the 2016 or Newer Chevrolet Tahoe 4 WD 4 Door LS to the Division of Motors Public Works as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed seven (7) bid proposal packages to prospective vendors following September 20, 2016 advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on October 6, 2016 the Supervising Procurement Specialist received one (1) bid in response to the September 20, 2016 advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Supervising Procurement Specialist reviewed the bid and in conjunction with the Director of Public Works, Division of Motors and Public Safety Police recommended that a contract for a 2016 or Newer Chevrolet Tahoe 4 WD 4 Door LS be awarded to the only responsive responsible bidder, Mall Chevrolet; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A11-24, the vendor, Mall Chevrolet, agreed to hold prices until such time as an award is made as the law allows; and
