WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services, will operate the Senior Olympics for approximately five hundred (500) City of Newark senior citizens as a recreational and physical activity program; and
WHEREAS, the Senior Olympics will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 11:30 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. (Includes Set-up time at 6:00 A.M. and Breakdown time at 4:30 P.M.); and
WHEREAS, based upon the capacity and facility needs of the Senior Olympics, Newark Public Schools' Malcolm X Shabazz High School, Athletic Complex, 80 Johnson Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108 is necessary to facilitate the event; and
WHEREAS, in order to facilitate the Senior Olympics at Malcolm X Shabazz High School, Athletic Complex, the City of Newark (the "City") is required to obtain a permit to operate from Newark Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, the City is additionally required to issue a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, agreeing to hold harmless, indemnify, and defend Newark Public Schools, its agents, servants, and administrators from any and all liability arising out of or related to the use of said premises or property, including, but not limited to, any and all costs, including attorney fees; and
