WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of Forty-Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars and Zero Cents ($40,295.00) increasing total program resources from $1,879,531.00 to $1,919,826.00, for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2020 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the same; and
WHEREAS, by award letter dated February 6, 2020, the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services has awarded the City of Newark additional funding for the Women, Infant and Children (WIC) Grant in the amount of Forty-Thousand, Two Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars and Zero Cents ($40,295.00).
