WHEREAS, HB Sports and Entertainment (Prudential Center of Newark), 3 Banner Way, Camden, New Jersey, 08103, would like to donate 70 new basketballs to the City of Newark to make basketball activity more accessible to Newark residents. It has been recognized by HB Sports that physical fitness is a key component of a healthy lifestyle, especially in children and adolescents. These basketballs are new, and have a value of approximately Three Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($3,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Acting Director of the Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs & Senior Services ("Department") desires to accept the gift of the basketballs and acknowledge the donation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark desires to expand and enrich the recreational opportunities to the residents of Newark and to partner with HB Sports and Entertainment (Prudential Center of Newark), by creating opportunities for all Newark residents, especially the City's youth, and improving the activity in bask...
