WHEREAS, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R9-a December 20, 2023, authorizing the acceptance of grant funds in the amount of Five Million Three Hundred Forty-Six Thousand Six Hundred Thirty-Nine Dollars and Sixty Cents ($5,346,639.60) from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency ("FEMA"), FY 2022 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response ("SAFER") grant program to restore and maintain the number of trained, front-line firefighters in the Department of Public Safety, Division of Fire, for the period of performance commencing on February 26, 2024, and terminating on February 25, 2027; and
