WHEREAS, the City of Newark is involved in the ongoing implementation of E-ticketing, which has resulted in operational and productivity improvements in Municipal Court and the Newark Police Department the issuance and processing of traffic tickets; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark issued a Request for Proposals for a Turn-key Electronic Ticketing Solution on August 12, 2012; and
WHEREAS, on or about September 12, 2012 the Office of the Business Administrator and the Newark Police Department found Gold Type Business Machines, Inc., 351 Patterson Avenue, East Rutherford, New Jersey 07103, as the sole respondent, to be the most advantageous to the City in regard to services and cost; and
